    Psychosocial Risks

    The significant changes that have occurred in the workplace in recent decades have resulted in emerging risks that go beyond the physical, chemical and biological risks already addressed at the traditional level of Health and Safety at Work.

    Psychosocial risks related to work have been identified as major contemporary challenges to health and safety and are linked to problems in the workplace, such as stress, violence, harassment and intimidation at work.

    Psychosocial risks are those factors that are causing stress in an employee. These problems bother so much that your individual well-being is affected.

    Examples:

    Stress related to work (including work overload and time of overwork)
    Violence outside the organization
    Bullying (can include verbal and emotional abuse)
    Sexual harassment
    Mobbing
    Burnout
    Exposure to unhealthy elements during meetings (like tobacco and alcohol excess).
