July/2014 - INEM recalls the obligation regarding the defibrillators installation.

INEM recalls that the requirement relating to mandatory installation of Automated External Defibrillators will be applied from September 1, 2014. "The Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) are going to mandatory in commercial establishments with relevant dimension. According to Decree-Law No 184/2012 of 8 August, the AEDs installation will be mandatory in the following locations: - retail establishments, taken separately or included in commercial collections, which have a sales area exceeding 2000 m2; - commercial sets that have a gross leasable area less than 8000 m2; - commercial Airports and Ports , - railway stations, subway and trucking, with more than 10 000 passengers daily average flow; - sporting precincts, leisure and recreation, with more than 5,000 people stocking. The responsible entities have a period of two years for full compliance with the provisions of this statute, finishing this term already on the 1st September 2014 “

March/2014 - Grant of Praia da Rocha classified as a SAFE ZONE.

The Safe Aid is a pioneer in the implementation of Automatic External Defibrillation Programs - AEDP - on the beaches of the Algarve. In partnership with Ferestpraia, business manager of concession and restaurant The Casalinho in Praia da Rocha, the Safe Aid classifies the award and the restaurant as SAFE ZONE, screened, trained and equipped with an Automated External Defibrillator - AED.
Aware of the usefulness and importance of having this type of equipment on the beaches, the employees of the restaurant and lifesavers are at this moment with professionals certified in Basic Life Support with Automated External Defibrillation training - BLSAED - and First Aid.
The usefulness of this equipment on the beaches is considered essential, not only but also, due to the significant number of occurrences of cardiorespiratory arrests - PCR - for swimmers practice with sports activities.
With this bet, the Ferestpraia welcomes the 2014 bathing equipment with a AED time, protecting all beach goers in emergency situations.
